Inside Nat's Notebook - Real Reflections for Real Change
The twenty-third of December carries a strange kind of hush.
The food is prepped. The gifts are sorted, or at least hidden well enough. Travel plans are nearly set. The world is spinning quicker, and yet today sits quietly on the edge of something big.
And if you listen closely, you can feel the emotions gathering behind your ribs.
The Complexity Of Christmas
Christmas is joyful. But it's also complicated.
It brings up memories you thought had settled. It highlights absences at the table. It shines a light on old family patterns. It magnifies loneliness in a way ordinary days don't.
Your nervous system receives all of it.
Joy and grief often travel together this time of year. And your body doesn't know how to hold both at once, so it does what it always does when overwhelmed: it tightens. It braces. It prepares for impact.
Add in overstimulation from lights, music, visitors, disrupted routines, late nights, rich food, and the expectation to be endlessly cheerful?
It's a lot. For anyone. Even the strongest woman in the room.
Especially her, actually.
What Your Body Is Trying To Tell You
If your sleep is messy this week, that's normal.
If you feel weepy for no reason, that's normal.
If you want to run and hide under a blanket, also normal.
Your body isn't being dramatic. It's doing its best to navigate emotional intensity in a season that rarely gives space for it.
It's been holding everything together for weeks, months, really, and now it's being asked to perform joy while managing complex family dynamics, old wounds, and the weight of everyone else's expectations.
It's tired. And it's allowed to be.
A Small Anchor Before The Storm
Tonight, before the whirlwind begins, give yourself a small ritual. A nervous system anchor. Nothing dramatic. Something simple.
Sit somewhere quiet. Feet grounded. Hands resting on your body. Take one slow breath in through your nose and soften the exhale.
Let your body know it's safe in this moment.
That's all it needs. Not a solution. Not a fix. Just a moment of acknowledgement that it's carrying a lot, and you see it.
#Rebel Moment
Choose honesty over performance this Christmas.
If something feels too much, say so. If you need a moment alone, take it. If you prefer a quiet cup of tea to a roomful of noise, choose the tea.
This isn't selfish. This is survival with grace.
You don't have to perform your way through the next two days. You're allowed to show up as you actually are, tired, tender, holding complicated feelings alongside the joy.
The people who truly love you will understand. And the ones who don't? They're not your responsibility to manage.
What Comes Next
Here's what I know: you're going to make it through Christmas. You always do.
But the real question is, what state will you be in when you get to the other side?
Collapsed? Depleted? Running on fumes and promising yourself you'll rest "soon"?
Or will you actually give yourself what you need to rebuild?
January doesn't have to be another month of pushing through exhausted. It can be the month you finally put yourself first.
I've created space in January for women who are done starting every year from empty. Women who want to rebuild their nervous system, restore their sleep, and remember what it feels like to wake up without that heavy, exhausted weight on their chest.
This isn't about New Year motivation or another "new you" promise. This is about nervous system restoration. Body-first healing. Learning to regulate so you stop living in survival mode.
If you've spent this entire year (and this entire December) giving everything to everyone else, January is your time.
Here is what it looks like:
→ Restore & Rebuild Session: A single 60-minute session in January to help your nervous system reset after the chaos. We'll work together to release what you've been holding and find your ground again. And yes, you will get tools you can use every day to ensure you maintain this ease, all for just £97
→ New Year Nervous System Reset: Three sessions across January to fully restore your system. We'll work on sleep, inner critic patterns, and building sustainable practices so 2026 doesn't become another year of exhaustion and always putting your needs at the bottom of the list, yep, I see you, I see your patterns. Let’s change it together! Just £247
Spaces are limited because I'm keeping January intentionally spacious for deep work. So grab your space before it is gone.
If you know you need this, DM me 'January' and let's get you booked in. Don't wait until you're already collapsed. Choose differently this time.
Stay Blessed!

P.S. If you're reading this on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, thinking "I should have reached out sooner" you still can. DM me whenever you're ready. January spaces are open until they're full! Merry Christmas from me to you, sweetheart!
Exhausted but still brilliant? You bet you are.
