You Didn’t Choose This Role (But You’re Still Carrying It)

Inside Nat’s Notebook – Real Reflections for Real Change

I want to take something off your shoulders today.

This isn’t just “how you are”.

(You didn’t pop out of the womb like this 😏)

You didn’t randomly become the strong one.

You learned it.

Maybe you were the one who didn’t cause problems.
Maybe you got used to being the reliable one.
Maybe life handed you situations where you had to hold it together… and you did.

(And you did it well. That’s the bit that really locks it in.)

And when something works, your system keeps it.

It learns:
Stay steady.
Stay composed.
Keep things moving.

It’s clever like that.

(It’s not trying to make your life hard… it’s trying to help. It just doesn’t update itself very often.)

It doesn’t sit there asking
“is this still useful for her now?”

It just repeats what worked.

So now you’ve got this pattern running…

where you’re always a little bit ready.
A little bit aware.
A little bit… on duty.

(Even when there’s absolutely nothing going on.)

And you’ve probably tried to think your way out of it.

Make sense of it.
Understand it.
Catch yourself doing it.

Which is great.

(We love a bit of awareness… but awareness on its own doesn’t always cut it.)

But this isn’t just a thinking thing.

It’s a feeling thing.

It’s your body being used to a certain way of being.

And that doesn’t shift because you’ve had a nice insight on a Tuesday afternoon.

(As much as we’d love it to 😏)

It shifts when your body experiences something different.

Even for a few minutes.
Even in a small way.

And this is the point where insight alone usually isn’t enough.

That’s why I created something simple for you.

👉 Nat’s Overthinker’s Escape Plan

Three gentle tools.
A short guided audio.

So when your mind starts racing, you don’t have to figure anything out.

You just press play.

(Like… actually press play. No overthinking required.)

And it’s completely free.
I made it for moments like this.

Start here:

Not because you’re broken…
but because this pattern won’t shift by just thinking about it.

You don’t have to keep doing this on your own.

Start small.
Let your body feel the difference first.

Instead of asking
“why am I like this?”

Try:
“What did this help me become?”

Let that land gently.

Stay Blessed
